three types of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems

Type 1 : On-Premise ERP

On-Premise ERP is an ERP that installs on corporate computers or internal servers. This type of ERP provides the advantage of security and data control as well as an option to customize the ERP. The disadvantages of this type are the accessibility and maintenance costs.

Type 2 : Cloud-based ERP

Cloud-based ERP is a web-based solution called Software as a Service (SaaS) where organizations can access and store data on any device. It can be accessed via mobile phone or any device with internet. The advantage of this type of ERP system is that it is easy to support from the ERP provider and can be accessed from anywhere.

Type 3 : Hybrid ERP

Hybrid ERP refers to a combination of Cloud-based and on-premise ERP solutions. The combination of cloud-based and on-premise types can be implemented by various solutions. For example, an organization is assigned to be the owner of the cloud server and control its security by itself with its on-premise ERP.
